On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’m honored to invite you to the Dolphin Democrats 43rd Annual Awards Gala & Silent Auction, taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Westin Fort Lauderdale (400 Corporate Drive).

This isn’t just a gala—it’s a declaration of our values, a call for justice, and a tribute to resistance.

This year, our gathering takes on even greater significance. We will be celebrating during Pride Month and on the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the uprising that sparked the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. We celebrate in honor of those who rose up, fought back, and paved the way for every right we hold today. And we gather in their spirit, as the fight continues.

Let’s be clear: the attacks haven’t stopped, they’ve escalated. Florida has become a laboratory for cruelty, banned books, censored history, attacks on LGBTQ+ youth, and the criminalization of abortion. And now, Trump is plotting a return, fueled by vengeance and authoritarianism.

This isn’t politics as usual—it’s a full-blown assault on our rights, our families, and our democracy.

This Gala is our line in the sand. It’s about power, preparation, and people. The fight for 2026 starts now.

GOTV Center Grand Opening

Join us on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Grand opening of the LGBTQ+ Get Out The Vote Center.  The center will serve as a place for volunteers to do phone banking, write postcards, and meet and volunteer for our endorsed candidates.  The center will be open Mon-Fri from 4pm – 8pm and on the weekends from 10am – 6:00pm

Dial For Democracy – July 27, 2024

Join us for a day of action to remind voters in School Board Districts 1,2,3, 5 & 9 about the upcoming Primary Election, and to make sure they request a vote-by-mail ballot before the August 8th Deadline.
Historically, over 60% of Democrats vote by mail in every election. However, recent changes in Florida’s voting laws now mandate that all VBM requests are removed after each election cycle. Currently, the requests for VBM in Broward County are still low. Only about 107,000 out of the 504,000 registered Democrats have registered to vote by mail in Broward County, This could potentially result in a lower voter turnout this August unless we take action to address this issue.
So Join the Dolphin Democrats, the Harris for President campaign, and many other organizations to call, text, and write to Democrats in School Board Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, and 9 to remind them to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot.
