The Dolphin Democrats are excited to announce that we are hiring a Part-Time Deputy Director (Operations & Communications) to help support one of Florida’s most active LGBTQ+ Democratic organizations.
If you’re passionate about politics, community organizing, communications, and electing Democratic leaders, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Details
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- Hourly compensation based on experience
- Approximately 60–80 hours per month, growing to 100+ hours per month beginning in September
- Primarily in-person in Broward County, with limited remote work opportunities
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
- Experience creating and managing social media content
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, and Drive)
- Experience using Canva
- Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms
- Knowledge of local and Florida politics
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills
Applicants must also be available:
- The second Wednesday of each month for our Membership Meeting
- The last Monday of each month for our Board Meeting
- During weekday afternoons and occasional weekends for meetings, events, and community outreach
